Care & Use

• Place the heat pad under one side of the whelping box so the mother and puppies can choose their preferred temperature.
• Secure the pad to prevent movement.
• Start on a low setting and adjust as needed. Ideal temperature range is 85°F to 90°F (29°C to 32°C) for the first few days.
• Check the pad and temperature regularly. Observe for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, restlessness, or puppies moving away from the heat source.
• Inspect the pad daily for wear or damage. Ensure the cord is not accessible for chewing or entanglement.
• Do not place the heat pad directly under the puppies; always use a barrier such as a whelping pad or blanket.
