How to use

• Withhold any prescription steroid or antihistamine medications before testing.
• Fast your cat for 12 hours prior to sample collection. On hour 11, gently wipe your cat’s mouth with a clean, warm, damp cloth to remove food particles.
• When collecting saliva, you may “tease” your cat with treats (do not allow eating) to encourage saliva production.
• Collect as much saliva as possible within one hour. If the tube is not full, send the sample anyway; the lab can often work with smaller amounts and will provide a replacement kit if needed.
